Sierra and Kendra are best friends who are graduating this year from Shakopee High School. They wanted to take their senior portraits together, and let me tell you, I am HERE. FOR. IT. What better way to feel comfortable in front of the camera than having your best friend behind it making you laugh til you can’t breathe?!

We started off the session in downtown Victoria, where I found this awesome ivy wall behind an apartment building along their parking lot. Pro tip: you can find the best locations in the most unexpected of places! Just across the street was a walking trail with beautiful yellow flowers beside it, and a nice view of the lake further down. From there we drove over to the Carver Park Reserve where I had found a wonderful field to shoot in, again right alongside a parking lot for a local campsite. You don’t have to go far to get great pictures!

To wrap up the session we headed back to downtown Victoria and grabbed some ice cream from The Social Ice Cream Parlor. 10/10 would recommend! I planned it out so we would be there right around dusk, so I knew the twinkle lights of the nearby restaurants would be turned on. The girls also surprised me with a third outfit change; tie-dye sweatshirts that also matched their ice cream flavor choices perfectly! You can’t go wrong with ice cream, best friends, tie-dye, and twinkle lights.

Congrats to Sierra & Kendra!
