There’s no better gift for Christmas than having everyone together for a family reunion in celebration of a 50th anniversary! This family was incredible to work with and had me constantly smiling. The way it all came together was serendipitous as well! Emily lives in the same neighborhood as my parents, and posted on the neighborhood Facebook page looking for a photographer last minute for the upcoming weekend. My dad saw the post, and commented that I would be home for the holidays. Emily reached out to me, and we got it scheduled. Since our neighborhood is still in the process of development, she also had a contact who works with the model homes in our neighborhood, and we got access to a furnished model home to take the photos in! Since it was winter in Minnesota, obviously it was freezing outside, so everything fell together so wonderfully! Especially since I had just recently acquired lighting equipment for my business. The model home had this huge empty room that I assume is meant to be used as an entertainment room, so we brought in a bench and some chairs from other rooms, and turned it into my own personal studio for the day! I had so much fun during this shoot, and I am so happy that I got to meet this incredible family. It’s obvious from the pictures just how much love they share for their family!
